With my first daughter I tried very hard not to breastfeed in public. I would hide in my car or in a restroom. Feeding her in a restroom was awful for me. It felt unhygenic and degrading to me. Now that I have an infant and a toddler, I just feed her when I have to. If I'm on the playground, I'll sit on a bench, cover up, and do it. It's too hard to try and wrangle my toddler to a private place and keep her there. I'm as discrete as I can be, but I'm not going to worry about it.
