I keep thinking back to when I was a child and how we were allowed to play all alone. When we were living in the country, my brother (then 7) and I (then 4) would go to the pond across the street with the other local kids and fish. When we moved into town, the neighbor hood kids rode bikes all over town (literally).

Now, it seems that kids are more fragile. They don't play anything anywhere without protective gear and adult supervision. I think it's a little sad.
