You want to know the real kick in the pants . . . you don't actually need all that water, especially later in the pregnancy. The radiologist just wants the bladder full to make it easier on him. With the newer machines and with newer doctors, this is becoming less and less the norm. My doctor this go around didn't say anything about drinking before hand. He does have one of those super cool 3-d and 4-d machines, though.
