39 weeks? That's practically a year! Wow.
I've been pregnant twice and I was working outside of the home during both of them - for the same company. I don't think women should lose their jobs if they get pregnant. However, why should a business owner have to hold someone's job for 3/4 of a year? They would have to hire someone else on in the meantime, and then what? fire that person when the mother comes back?
