I was about 40 pounds overweight when I got pregnant. Because of complications during the pregnancy (not related to my being overweight), I actually lost weight during the beginning of the pregnancy. I had a very healthy baby girl and actually weighed less after being pregnant than I did before. However, I am going to be trying to get pregnant again and would like to lose some weight beforehand as well.
