Well - odd woman out here - I had a c-section three weeks early delivery, so I never ahd the water breaking experience. It was pretty quick in the delivery room, but the recovery was the horrible place for me. No one ever explained that when you come out of the spinal, your nerves are coming back randomly, so your whole body starts to shake (fairly uncontrollably). I laid in recovery and fought against the shakes because I didn't undersatand what was happening, then had to be on Demerol (whoa - nice stuff) for the next four days for the intense back pain. If a nurse had jsut told me to go with the shakes instaed of fighting them, my recovery would have been a breeze!
