I'd like to share something, I have 2 adopted siblings.
I just wanted to share that I have 2 adopted siblings from the martial islands. I'm 29 and I have a 27 yr old brother and 25 yr old sister in which we have the same mom and dad. When I was 23 my mom and step-dad adopted a little boy and little girl (who are biological cousins) from the martial islands. They are now 13 and 10. At first I was angry and confused, I couldn't understand why they wanted more kids and I felt like we weren't good enough kids for her she had to start over and see if she could correct the mistakes she made with us 3. In the end, I'm extremely graetful for my adopted sister and brother. They are the sweatest kids in the world and they are an awesome aunt and uncle to my kids. I love them so much and am thankful that they are a part of our family.

It's good to hear from people that can expand their families and welcome new children into their homes and hearts. I have a friend who recently found out that she and her husband may not be able to have their own children. They are thinking of adopting from some of the more neediest of countries who can't care for so many abandoned children.

Re: I'd like to share something, I have 2 adopted siblings.
Sometimes we are disgusted of the things that are happening, decisions our parents have done and we feel that they are wrong. However, in the end, we usually find ourselves thanking that these things happened because we realize that it is a part of God's plan for us. We usually understand this when it is already in the later part. Jaescafe, it is good that you have finally had a loving relationship with your adopted sister and brother. For all you know, they might haven't been happy when they were younger, feeling that you don't like them. Now, for sure, they are very grateful and happy to have you as their older sister.

Re: I'd like to share something, I have 2 adopted siblings.
Thanks for your great replies. I know my little brother and sister didn't feel any negative feeling from me because they were so young when they came here and I never ever showed them anything, but love. My problem was with my mom not them. They were so cute and adorable when they first got here. When my little brother was about 4 people would as him who he looks like more his mom or dad (just playing around) and he would say joyfully "Tiger Woods" it was so cute.

I applaud you for being able to come to the point where you are now and feel thatyou have a geat relationship withyour siblings. All angles of adoption can be really tough on both the parents, biological kids and adopted kids. We considered adoption after our son was born, but it just didn't work out.

That is a wonderful story... and I can't help thinking that your reaction to your new siblings was pretty much what MOST older siblings feel when a new baby/child enters their parents life - adopted or not.

This was indeed a wonderful story. And I do have to agree with the above poster... it's pretty normal for any child to feel a little jealous when a new brother or sister enters the family. I'm glad you learned to love them though! *hugs*
