A review on Oct. 14 about ?The Terror Dream: Fear and Fantasy in Post-9/11 America,? by Susan Faludi, referred imprecisely to the military career of Pat Tillman, who quit pro football to volunteer for the Army in 2002. While Tillman was sent to Iraq for a time, he did not enlist with the specific intention of serving there. And though he was indeed subsequently killed by ?friendly fire,? that was after he had been redeployed to Afghanistan.
