Correction: Review of ?The Pleasures of the Damned?
Because of an editing error, a review last Sunday about ?The Pleasures of the Damned,? a poetry collection by Charles Bukowski, misspelled the second word of a Latin phrase meaning ?we were smoke.? It is fuimus fumus, not flumus. (The phrase, a version of a tomb motto, is quoted from Thomas Wolfe?s ?Look Homeward, Angel,? where it is used to suggest life?s transitory nature.).
