Sometimes there are so many things to worry about when we're pregnant that the worrying itself becomes the problem. It is not good to be stressed during pregnancy, but most of us are at least a little bit. I think a little anxiety is normal during pregnancy. I would be careful with things like celulite lotions and things like that because my mom got sick to her stomach when she used it. She wasn't pregnant or anything, but if it affected her like that it could be really bad for a pregnant woman. Best thing to do is talk to your dr and read the labels.

I have read in a few books that they worry about any type of chemical thing being put on your body when you're pregnant, and I have also heard of new studies lately that say all the products we use could be harmful to us, you just have to figure out what you want to listen to and make your own choices.

I don't think that makeup during pregnancy can harm the baby in any way. However, I have noticed that sometimes, pregnant women don't like to wear make up, perhaps it is psychological, as we usually think it is because of the preferences of the baby. IMO, pregnant women should wear a little makeup though, because appearance is important and when we are pregnant, there is a big difference in how we look. Some women become more beautiful but others don't.

Sometimes I think things go way overboard. Always the best thing to do is talk to your doctor and see what he/she has to say about it. I am sure you will get different opinions, but how many actual studies has there been?

Just don't forget that doctor's are "practicing" medicine. They truly don't know it all. Trust your body. If you aren't comfortable, then don't do it. It's that simple.

I was a lot like Ashley - just didn't want to do it. If I put on makeup, then it was probably a dash of eyeshadow and some mascara.
