is there anyone out there who knows for sure that coxackie can hurt a fetus? has anyone been in this situation?

I've never heard of the coxsackie virus- what is it and how is it transmitted?

This is also called Hand Foot and Mouth disease and I was told by 2 different doctors that it can only affect the baby if you deliver while you or your child is still contagious. then the new baby can come down with it.

Such strange names out there for viruses. Sometimes you wonder where they come up with them.

What does Coxsackie virus do? How does it affect the baby? How does one get this virus?
