My sister is somewhere around 13 weeks pregnant and started bleeding pretty heavy on saturday. She has been to the dr a few times and the baby is doing great. My sister isn't really feeling that great and is on bed rest until further notice. Has anyone else experienced this? I was pregnant twice and I didn't. What could be the cause? The dr didn't really say.

My MIL had bleeding for almost seven months (not constant) when she was pregnant with my husband. She said it was the scariest thing ever, but it all turned out okay in the end. I can't remember why she said the doctor told her the bleeding was happening, but I'll see if I can't ask her next time we talk and let you know.

That would be great tigriz. I am sure my sister will ask her dr again, but who knows if she will understand, lol. I can't imagine that happening to me. I would be so scared and stressed out.

Fortunately, I haven't experienced that as I am the type of person who labors late. My two babies were overdue for 1 & 2 weeks. It just isn't easy for me to give birth, too. I spent much time in the delivery room and spend much of my effort there... very much opposite in the labor room where I am quiet and calm.

I am in my 9th week now and had fresh bleeding while i was at work during my 5th week. Just after I got a positive test. At first I thought i got my periods and the test was wrong. But anyway I went to the ob/gyn and they did a scan and there was the gestational sac. I was on bedrest for 3 weeks and I am back at work now. I used to have spotting for sometime after that. It's been a week since no bleeding or spotting. And I am getting Inj.Proffasi weekly.

wow lubaa, that does not sound fun at all. Do you have any cramping at all. My sister is still on what is supposed to be bed rest, but at least now she has quit her job so that is a good start.

This sounds gross, but the color of the bleeding is important. Make sure she stays on her doctor about it.

My great grandmother actually had her period the whole time she was pregnant.

Kelkat's right. If I recall, bright red bleeding or spotting is more of a concern than a light pink or brown bleeding (as usually the light pink or brown is old blood).

Yes that is yucky to think about, but being woman we are used to this sort of talk lol, right? The color of the blood is very important and as said should be talked about with your dr.

As longas she is under her dr's care, that is good. It's a matter of difference with all women - I did not bleed, but one of my sister's did almost her whole pregnancy. Best of luck that all is well!
