One of my friends bled throughout her pregnancy because she had a low lying placenta. She had to be on bed rest all 9 months. She had a C/section last month and is now a proud mother of a healthy girl baby. It's all worth it.

Yes I am really wondering if my sister also has a low lying placenta? She is supposed to be on bed rest, but with an active 18 mo old and a husband that is gone a lot and doesn't help out a lot she is doing a lot more than she should. She is coming to my house next week so I will take good care of her.

Exclamation Re: Did anyone bleed during pregnancy?

I personally never bled through this pregnancy or my 1st, but my sister-in-law did. Come to find out her placenta was slowly unattaching itself and trying to come out before the baby. She was on bedrest for all of her pregnancy and ended up having her daughter 2 1/2 months premature (baby & mommy are both fine) and had to have the placenta vaccuumed out. Hope that's not the problem in this case. I don't know if that's the kind of thing you wanted to know about, but I thought maybe it would help. Bye Bye.

Thanks Kat any information helps dear so thanks for posting. Wow, whatever the case may be it is serious and I wish my sister would take it that way. It doesn't help that her husband isn't either.

I had BAD bleeding at 10 weeks with Dylan. I had clots, cramps, the works. I was told by the doc that night that i'd lost the baby, with the amount of bleeding that i'd hate. The next morning i had a scan to confirm, and there was baby They said it was part of my placenta breaking away.

I had this problem for a little while, but not for the whole time. The regular doctor I'd had scared me VERY much (after already having lost a baby 5 years before that!) but a specialist he sent me to said some women just bleed with a pregnancy and he didn't know why my doctor didn't tell me that. What a relief.

BUT it's not the type of thing to diagnose ourselves whether it's the "normal" kind of bleeding or not, a doctor *always* needs to be seen when it happens.

What did your doctor say? Did he prescribe any extra rest or anything or give you anything that you need to watch out for?

Red face Re: Did anyone bleed during pregnancy?

Hi! Well, I am 14 weeks pregnant with my second child and am currently spotting non-stop. It is completely terrifying and unnerving to be bleeding while pregnant. I have a tear in the sac so that is why I'm bleeding and am currently on bed rest. I would recommend seeing the doctor asap and have an ultrasound done. I have one done once a week. It's a scary thing so I would recommend talking with your doctor that's what they are there for anyway. I hope that helps... Jennifer
