Often overlooked blessing during pregnancy
Around my third month, I began to have just a little celebration for myself every month at the time that I would have been ahving my period. I, for one, just decided that it was an often overlooked benefit of being pregnannt. Yes, it's obvious that you don't have you r period, but to not have to deal with the hasle for 9 whole months was a real treat for me!

Re: Often overlooked blessing during pregnancy
LOL. There's only 19 months difference between my daughters and I've nursed, so between my pregnancies and nursing I feel like I haven't had a period in three years.

Re: Often overlooked blessing during pregnancy
I was going to say "don't forget those feeding months". My son was 5 mths before I had my first period.
I really like the idea of having a celebration. Maybe you could get together with some pregnant friends and make a night of it.

Re: Often overlooked blessing during pregnancy
I wholeheartedly agree! Now that I've stopped breastfeeding, I'm having a heck of a time getting back to a normal period, especially since I've tried and changed multiple types of birth control. Everything seems to be giving me headaches! But I agree, I didn't miss my period for a second the whole time I was pregnant!

Re: Often overlooked blessing during pregnancy
Yah, we might have a 'vacation' from our monthly period but the feelings associated with being pregnant, it is not also that easy. For 9 whole months, you feel differently, and the mood swings... it is really different.

How lucky to have had only 1 day a month periods. Congrats on your new pregnancy. I hope everything goes well!

Re: Often overlooked blessing during pregnancy
My 2nd son was conceived 3 months after my first son was born, so I too didn't have a period for almost 2 years Mine are always so irregular anyway that it was a joy not to have them.

Re: Often overlooked blessing during pregnancy
My periods are very regular and predictable, and so it was so very nice not to have to worry about them every month!
