Default Have you picked a theme for your nursery?

With my first daughter I went with a beautiful Amy Coe for Target bedding set (la cirque, pink). I accented the room with old prints of fairies that I framed myself. I painted to walls a soothing green. My second daughter inherited the nursery as is. Have you picked bedding and/or a theme?

For my daughter's nursery, we went with a Boyd's Bears themes. I think it was called Beary Goodnight. It was green, so would work for either a boy or girl. I think if we have another one, we're just going to leave the nursery the same. Except if we have a boy, we'll change the curtains, as they have pink on them.

Since I don't ever find out what I'm having, we stick to a jungle theme with rainbow colors around the room for accents. No pastels here! It also grows well with them.

My theme was actually vintage pink floral material (mismatched). I wanted a nursery that did not match and was kind of a simple blast from the past.

I chose teddy bears so that it would be suitable for a boy or girl. I will use the same theme for the next child with some different accessories.

I am completing a cross stitch for my daughter so I will have to do one for the second child as well.

Well, way back in the beginning, I didn't have a nursery for my sons - we co-slept or they hung out in the crib in my room.
Now that they have their own room, its designed in a castle theme - one wall is painted to look like a castle wall with rocks and a draw bridge up, parapets with pennants. The other side is a field with jousting knights and there is a dragon flying on the ceiling.

This sounds like a perfectly *gorgeous* room, Melos! Did you do all
the design work yourself?

The next baby is definetly going to be in our room next time! I've decided to co-sleep with the next one. So I'm not going to be in such a fuss about the nursery. It's such a big deal with the first one.

Our culture is also into co-sleeping with the babies and so our room will be filled with baby stuff and cool colors but not necessarily have a theme as it will be good for boy or girl babies.

Well, I personally don't think a baby really cares at all about what their wall paper looks like People just like decorating.

I have a friend who is a very good tattoo and mural artist who actually painted my sons' room. I told him where to put everything though.
