Default What strange things did your body do during and after pregnancy?

Oh my gosh, I felt like I was living in someone elses body when I was pregnant and afterwards when I was breast feeding (nursed both my kids for a year each). I had aches in places I didn't know could ache . It's of course all worth it, but it's such a strange experience. During the period of a year after my children and I was breast feeding I also had strange feelings. My breasts weren't my own anymore, they were just a feeding tube. It's so weird to think about now that I'm pretty much back to normal. Anyone else have weird things happen to them during and after pregnancy?

My body was totally exhausted, I tried to go by everyone's advice to sleep when the baby slept, but that often times just made me feel worse. By the time I headed to my bed and wound down, it was time to get up again. I ended up just getting used to being functional with less sleep.

The strangest thing? You know how your muscles relax in your pelvic region to make room for the baby? Well my muscles hyper-relaxed to the point where my right hip wouldn't stay in place. I had to go to phsycial therapy and the therapist was horrified because my hip was rotating backwards and stuff. There wasn't much they could do but they tried. IT HURT!!! Two months post-pregnancy and my hip still troubles me sometimes. Hopefully it will heal up.

There are many differences that happen to our body during and after pregnancy.
We feel tired most of the time when we are pregnant. When the baby comes out, the more we get tired of taking care of the baby, waking up at the wee hours of the morning just to feed the baby and change diapers, etc. One thing I couldn't forget though with regards to the pain that I felt during those times were when I was weaning my baby, felt my breasts almost falling and the paid, it was very painful that I chilled most of those times. It was really hard for me.

You are not alone!!! It was hard for me also. I had most of my breastfeeding pains at the beginning when my breasts were sore from being sucked on all the time. Wow, I remember a lot of times crying until my breasts got toughened up. It's not fun, but worth it in the end and once you get in the routine, there is no more precious of an experience when your baby looks up at you and smiles while nursing .
