Default Boy or girl? What would you rather have?

If for any reason you could chose the gender of the child, what would you prefer to have?
Which do you consider would be happer in life?
Which do you consider to be closer to you in life?
Which do you consider easier to raise?

I just ask myself.
My mother told me she always wanted to have a boy, because boys have an easier life. They are stronger, they do not have problems with finding partner and marrying, they don't have the problems with hormons (periode, menopause), they don't have the problems with pregnancy.
I think she is right, but I also thinks at the problems with boys.
First of all I would have liked a healthy child, no matter the gender.
If I would have to chose I really don't know. I like girls and find them easier to raise and closer to parents.
With boys I have the problem of being to active, because of football and ...the military.
Now, of course, there are boys and girls, some better, some worse.

I would like to have a girl, mostly just because I already have a son. I think their ultimate happiness will depend on how they are raised and the life they choose for themselves. I think either one will be close to me in life, after all, they will be my child. I have no idea which would be easier to raise, again I think that could go either way since every child's personality is different. I have been told that my son is so laid back he's spoiled us, and that when we have our second child we are in for a rude awakening! :-)

I have only one child and it's a boy. I didn't plan it that way, but I am truly blessed. THat being said, I don't know that I would have chosen one or the other, but I am so glad I had a boy. Oour relationship is so great and I think I would have brought to manyof my insecurities into a relatinship with a daughter and passed them on. With a son, I wsa able to jsut let go and let him develop on his own.

With my first I was leaning toward a boy and got a boy. My second I wanted a girl and I was lucky to get a girl. If for some crazy act of God we'd have a third I really wouldn't care. I really didn't care that much with the other 2 I really wanted them to be healthy. I would love them either way.

I already have 2 boys who are really active and now, I am wishing to have a baby girl! I want to have a feel of how it is to be a mother of a girl and be able to dress her up and to see that girls usually are the ones who can stay at home and help me

When I was pregnant I thought I would like to have a girl but really I was happy to be having a child and whatever came our way we would be happy. We had a boy. So now I would like a girl. But if I get another boy then again I would be the happiest, luckiest woman on eart.

I do know what you mean about wanting have a girl. In the end of course most of us are just happy having a healthy baby, but you just can't help but think what it would be like to have a girl and dress her up and things like that. I have one of each and I'm so glad that I do. I like the experiences and differences between both of them and enjoy them both.
