Default Losing Baby Weight

Anyone have any tried and true tips for losing excess baby weight once your little miracle is here? Unfortunately, due to medical reasons, I had to stop breastfeeding, which I know is a great for helping shed those post pregnancy pounds. It just seems like I'm so busy during the day I don't have time to worry about a diet or how/when I'm going to get to exercise. Yet the extra weight is driving me nuts!

When I was too busy to worry about this stuff, I increased my water intake, took a half hour walk a day and ate half of what I put on my plate. Worked like a charm....even the occasinal chocolate/snack didn't have too negative of an effect.

When I was pregnant and after the delivery of the baby, I was gaining a lot of weight, especially when I was breastfeeding. However, when the children grew older, I can't help but be running for them and so I get busier and this makes me thin again.

Thanks for the tips Amy. I have increased my water intake, mostly I think because it's quicker and easier to grab a bottled water out of the fridge these days! :-) Cutting portions makes sense too, I'll have to give that a shot.

Feline, everyone keeps telling me I'll be dropping weight like crazy once I start chasing him around everywhere. But I don't want him to be that big just yet! :-)

With my second baby, I lost by eating only when I was hungry, but I ate whatever I craved or wanted. I stopped one bite before I thought I might be satisfied.

I know it works, because the weight came right off last time. I'm just having trouble with the whole stopping part this go around!
