Default Timeless - veggie tales

OK, so my son's 17 and my husband and I are 43 and 45.....and tonight after dinner as my son worked on his Advanced Placement summerwork before his senior years begins, we watched a Veggie Tales tape. Really - it was fun and a good laugh for all of us. I guess Larry the Cucumber and Bob the Tomatoe are truly timeless...

You are not kidding. I was in a bookstore one day that was playing the singalong on their tv. There was a group of college kids standing there singing along.

Have you seen them all? We are true connaisseurs in our home.

What's your favorite?

Oh gosh... we love Veggie Tales too. The newish on "Lord of the Beans" is really cute - its a take off on Lord of the Rings.
My sons love them and I find myself singing their songs to myself every once in a while.
"Brocolli, celery, gotta be... Veggietales!"
"Lima bean, collard green, peachy keen... Veggietales!"

That is a good way to motivate kids to eat vegetables, that would have been great but I guess we don't have it in our place. <sighs>

Actually, it might not be a good way to get kids to eat their veggies since the veggies jump around and tell moral, often biblical type stories.
The whole thing is run by Bob the tomato and Larry the cucumber and there is a host of other vegetables too.

I have two favorites: "Oh, Barbara Manatee......you are the one for me....."
and "Where is my hairbrush?"

The tales are so cute - I haven't see the Lord of the Beans - I;ll have to take a trip to the video store........
