Hey guys,

I know this sounds odd, but my Dad suggested Beef Jerky for my daughter who was teething. It may present a slight choking hazard if allowed to knaw on it for too long, but it takes forever to get mushy enough to fall apart, so 1 piece goes a long way. Plus, it can be frozen, so you still get the cooling effect. My daughter loved the teriyaki flavor, plus the meat was really good for her, too. I think that attributed to her love of all meats today, even though, I hardly eat any meat at all (I'm a seafood person).

Yes, I have read that frozen bagels work really well. My daughter could eat fresh bagels well, so I can't see where frozen ones would be a problem.

I never thought of beef jerky for teething. I love jerky and normally always have some around the house. Thanks for the tip I'll have to try it out.

I just bought jerky for snack time. I'm going to stick a piece in the freezer and see what happens. We are on round two of the teeth and I need something to give us a break!
