Default Spit Up and Reflux

Does anyone's child have problems with reflux? My son had surgery for pyloric stenosis at one month old. Since then he has been on enfamil A/R per the doctor's orders. He very rarely spits up. Starting about two weeks ago, he has started spitting up about an hour or two hours after he eats. And the amount is increasing. Do you all think this warrants a visit to the pediatrican or is this just his reflux acting up? I hate to be one of those "paranoid" moms, but I know this isn't normal for him, so I'm naturally concerned.

Well, if you're feeling anxious, I would go ahead and visit the ped. It's the best way to put your worries to rest.

My son had a severe reflux problem - he spit up after EVERY bottle for at least the first six months. THe pediatrician just said it was "his way". THen, he finally stopped and didn't start again until I started to wean him from formula and change to milk. THen, the reflux started again. My ped said - oh, he must be allergic - you should start him on Soy. Well, long story short is that I decided if he ahd gotten used to it once before, he would again, and I started him extremely slowly on the milk, and he did adjust. I would check any differences in your son's food, but also work with his pediatrician (even though mine wasn't much help).
