Do you like your pediatrician?
I have to say that I LOVE my pediatrician. If I have questions I can first call and talk to a nurse, anytime of the day or night. The office has weekend hours. She listens carefully to what I have to say and answers my questions in a thoughtful manner. I feel so lucky to have found such a good doctor.

Re: Do you like your pediatrician?
I am right there with you. We decided on our pediatrican after he was recommended by a friend who has four daughters, and after I was able to go in and visit the pediatrican before my son was even born to meet and talk with him. He has been great since day one, and his office is very friendly, much like your's I can always call and speak to a nurse, any time of day or night.

Re: Do you like your pediatrician?
I don't have a lot of choice in my town. They are all in one group. I did not like one of the partners and was debating on switching to someone out of town. Recently, a friends wife joined their group. She's new, fresh, and has just had her first child. I think she's learning that all that doctor stuff is not what it is cut out to be. She actually asked me questions when were in for our check up (this is my third child). It's refreshing to find a doctor who admits they don't know everything.

Re: Do you like your pediatrician?
I don't really know my kid's doctor. (My kids are older already). They hardly ever go to the doctor and we just use a group - they don't really have one specific doctor for each patient - just whoever is handy.

Re: Do you like your pediatrician?
I actually didn't have a pediatrician. We went with our family doctor, who we felt extremely comfortable. We knew that he also woudl not (and subsequently did not) have any trouble in referring us to another doctor/specialist shoudl our son need it. What's really nice now is that our son is 17 years old and had developed a very strong trust with his physician.

Our dd goes to our doctor. She's wonderful. I really like that she respects our decision not to vaccinate dd.

Re: Do you like your pediatrician?
I like our dr. He is very easy going and listens to me. The only problem I have is sometimes he seems a little too easy going. Like I am do not need to worry about a thing and I always wonder what he knows and is not telling me.

jaescafe - fear not - if he knew something and didn't tell you, it would be malpractice and doctor's today really tend to sway the other way and list ALL THE POSSIBILITIES of anyhting that could be wrong just to cover themself. If you like him, go with your gut feeling and trust him as well.
