Clothing Size
The only time my son has fit into the clothes sized for his age was from 0-3 months. Since 3 months he's gotten so long he's now in 9 to 12 month clothes at 6 months. Six months size would fit him around, but just aren't long enough. Anyone else having this?

Re: Clothing Size
My eldest daughter was always behind because she is very petite. She was in preemie clothes for the first two months! My youngest is right on target, in 3-6 month clothing at 4 months.

Re: Clothing Size
I'm right there with you Tigriz. My daughter has always been long and skinny. It's so hard buying pants for her. They're either too short or they fall off her waist!

Re: Clothing Size
Also, these clothes are easily outgrown because babies grow up fast. Sometimes I find it best to buy the bigger clothes because it will be useful for a longer time.

Re: Clothing Size
Both of my sons were always ahead in clothing sizes just like your son, Tigriz. My sister's daughter, who just turned 2, is still wearing 12 months size - she is so tiny. Kids come in all sizes

Re: Clothing Size
Still in twelve months? Man I bet she's just the most beautiful delicate little thing! Alex leans more towards the bruiser/linebacker body style at the moment, but I wouldn't have him any other way! :-)

Re: Clothing Size
Our son was pretty much on taget for the first year since he was a preemie, however he was also very long and thin, so finding those pants that fit were really tough. He would also go through tremendous growth spurts and it seemed like he'd outgrow his wardrobe basically in a weeks time!

Re: Clothing Size
When my dd was an infant, shopping at thrift stores was a Godsend! She has a big rump (thanks to genetics, lol) and a lot of stores only carry clothing for skinny kids (probably because the clothes are made in China and third world countries, bleh). The pants at thrift stores have usually been worn in and stretched at the rear.

Re: Clothing Size
Never would have thought of that Danielle, the seat of the pants thing. Alex has quite a few outfits from thrift stores and yard sales, he just grows out of them so fast it's crazy! Plus I usually find that yard sale outfits run small, as they've been washed and have shrunken a little, plus I of course wash them real well before he wears them.
