Default Teething

My daughter is teething terribly right now. She is grinding her teeth because they hurt but then that makes them hurt even more. We have been trying teething tablets, gel, motrin, cold teethers, everything I can think of. Anyone have any other suggestions? The grinding just sounds so awful.

Alex is just now teething, and his teeth haven't actually come in yet, but he really prefers sucking on a cold washrag. My pediatrician mentioned that different kids often prefer to chew on different textures, some like hard things, some like fabric, etc. It's worth a try!

Thebest thing that I have come up with is frozen waffels. It's hard and cold and they can eat it. Make sure you buy the ones that break into smaller pieces or else cut the waffles into smalles pieces - oh, and a bib is a good idea!

My son really liked chilled celery - we kept a watchful eye on him and it worked out just fine.
