Growth Charts

Anyone know where I can find good, easily read growth charts on the web? I'd like to be keeping a few records myself, but haven't found a very user friendly site as of yet.

Are you charting weight and height? If so, you can just as easily make up your own on a sheet of graph paper. However, I found the doctor's growth chart that they put together was really sufficient.

Oh I'd be eager to see one of those as well. My eldest daughter is always like, 5th percentile for weight. She's toooooooooo skinny!

My eldest son is the same way - he just gained a few pounds and shot up to the 12th percentile on weight. I take a look at these growth charts from time to time.

Thanks for the link Melos. I've taken a look at those, I guess what I'm looking for is a place to sort of create my own that has Alex's weights on it for each doctor's visit. I'll look around today and see what I can come up with.

Does it really matter where they fall on the "charts?" I mean, aren't each baby different and if they are eating well, shouldn't that be what counts?

I don't think it really matters where they fall on the charts, unless they are at the extreme top or the extreme bottom. It is unhealthy for a child to be either overweight or underweight, and no one wants an unhealthy child.
My son was at the 2nd to 3rd percentile for almost a year - that is really really close to unhealthy underweight. I'm glad he gained more.

I think more than looking at where they fall on the charts, it's important to look on a chart that correlates their height and weight, to see if they correlate well and to make sure they are following a nice curve.

See my eldest daughter was always down at the bottom like that. When she was born she was just a few ounces away from being classified as low birth weight. It was so stressful!

I don't really mind where he falls on the charts, especially since he's already run the gamut and he's only six months. I'd just like to have something I can input his info into and sort of chart his growth to put in his baby book. Maybe growth chart isn't even the correct phrase, maybe just customizable chart is better. It doesn't need to have the percentages, just something I can put in ... at this age, he was this weight and this height, etc.
