Default Wintertime footwear

Are socks sufficient for a baby in winter? Or do you think I should have additional footwear for my non-walker? I'm talking about a trip to the grocery store, not hiking through a blizzard.

I think socks would be sufficient for a nonwalker. They'll probably be pretty bundled up anyway.

Yes, I agree, a lot of the time we would just take our baby with socks on as long as she was bundled up.

It is really easy to put on and take off socks rather than have more than one. Make sure though that the socks are thick and comfortable enough for the baby to keep his feet warm.

Big thick fuzzy socks. We had these little fuzzy fleece slippers with drawstring at the ankles that we popped over the socks on the coldest outings.
