Default Child's Safety Needs

Ensuring that your baby is going to be safe in her own home is extremely important. There are many dangers that exist in a house that we adults take for granted, and yet, can be potential dangers for babies. Here are a few pointers and tips to follow:

- Install and maintain working smoke detectors
- Keep a fire extinguisher on hand
- Assemble a first aid kit for children
- Buy a baby bath that has non slip grooves
- Ensure that your crib is strong and sturdy, with no sharp edges anywhere

Any other safety tips that I missed?

When the babies start crawling, there is a lot more to think about, including electrical outlet covers and stair gates, just to mention a few.

I know I am going to have to do A LOT of work in my house when my little one starts to crawl. We are hopefully moving soon though and will be able to make sure we move into a place that will be easy to make safe. Right now we live in a house that is far to small and we have so much "stuff" with nowhere to put it. Hopefully we get our new house before Brooke becomes mobile.

When the baby starts crawling, we have to give up the excess fats we had acquired during pregnancy. We have to chase the pathway that our babies are heading to and this makes us thinner than when we were conceiving.
