Default Growth spurts!

My 2 month old just spent the past few days sleeping all day and all night. And in that time it seems she's grown tremendously! She began the week in 0-3 month clothing and now she is fitting comfortably in 3-6 month clothing! People joke about how kids seem to grow overnight but I swear they really do!

It is amazing how fast babies grow. They sure don't stay babies very long it seems. I remember the days when my kids would sleep and sleep. I even remember sometimes I'd miss them while they were taking their naps. Now sometimes I wish they'd sleep more LOL.

Growth spurts are amazing - my son (now 17) had them as a baby and is still having them. He can actually pinpont now where his "growing pains" are. He was three weekd premature and was 21 inches long and 5.6 lbs at birth. We came within 24 hours of him being stillborn (long story....). HOwever he is now 6 feet 1 inch and still growing. Remarkably healthy and we are blessed. It was easier when he could begin to tell us when his pains were and where - mostly joints and the longer bones inthe shin area.

And just see how their faces change! The first time you see your child, he/she looks like your father, next time, your husband, then the next month, he/she looks like you My, how fast and constant the change really is !

It's true, kids really do seem to grow overnight. My 9-year old son is spending the summer with his dad. He lives with me 10 months out of the year and then spends the summers at his dad's childhood home about 75 miles outside the city. I see him once every two weeks. I went to see him yesterday and I swear for a moment he didn't look like my child. It seemed like he grew another inch. And his face and body are changing. Wow, when he comes back to live with me at the end of the summer I am going to have a boy that reaches almost to my chin.
