Becky,

Thanks for posting that link. I'm surprised to find that the US has only 25 baby friendly hospitals! That number is extremely low. Looking at the other areas of the world we rank low. The middle east has more baby friendly hospitals and so does Northern Europe.

No problem, I was quite surprised myself. You would think things would be different living in the country that we do, but its not. At least we are getting the information out there. Take care!

Little bit off topic, but I like the 10 breast feeding trick they talked about

Whew! I am happy that the hospital that I had my daughter at was on the list! But in agreeance with Brandi... I liked the breastfeeding tricks as well! I wish I knew about them earlier!

Both me and my sister-in-law had our children at Women's Hospital of Texas in Houston. It's an excellent facility and they took great care of us and our babies there.

Well, the two hospitals I delivered at may not have made the list, but both Riverside Hospital and Mount Carmel in Columbus, Ohio were absolutely wonderful. I had an especially great experience at Mount Carmel where they have lactation consultants who are very active and hands on. You don't have to ask for them, they come to you. That was great.

I'm very excited to hear that Brookhaven Hospital here on Long Island is trying to meet the requirements to be Baby/Mother Friendly.
It's a start!
