Default VBAC Anyone?

My husband and I are planning to have another baby, or rather to start trying once our son turns one year old. My doctor has suggested that a VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarean) is a very real possibility for me and told me to think about what I may want in that department. I would love to be able to have a second child naturally, but after everything I went through when I had to have a c-section after 24 hours of labor last time, I'm worried that I'll end up in the same situation again. I was told the problems I had with my incision (which took me almost five months to heal from) were primarily because I had such a long labor beforehand. Anyone else considering or have gone through VBAC delivery?

Default Re: VBAC Anyone?

I am considering it. I was miserable after my c-section. It's hard for me to stay off my feet like that. After my first daughter was born I was out mowing the lawn a week later. I had no choice but to stay in bed after my surgery with my second daughter, and it was very hard on everyone. For that reason, and many others, I really want to find out if I am a good canidate for a VBAC.
