Smile Feeling And Looking Sexy With Maternity Clothes

Pregnant women are some of the sexiest people. However, some individuals don't believe that the two words, sexy and pregnancy should ever be used together, let alone to describe women.

Some of these individuals are pregnant women themselves. A friend of mine once said, "How can I feel sexy when my belly enters the room 5 minutes before I do?" She wasn't that big---even if she felt like she was.

Today's maternity clothes are not tents, like the ones our grandmothers and even mothers wore. Today's maternity clothes are fashionable, stylish, and sexy. Yes, I said sexy.

Many designers have combined comfort and style to create maternity clothing, which you can begin wearing almost as soon as you find out that you are pregnant, and continue to wear it all the way through post-partum.

To save money, some women just wear their spouse's clothes, which may cover their growing belly, but doesn't fit well everywhere else. By purchasing plus sizes in regular clothes will have the same effect, they won't fit as they should. Therefore, you need to invest in some stylish maternity clothes that will fit your body.

When shopping for maternity clothes there are some basics, which every expecting mother should have. These basic pieces are a couple of good pairs of pants, jeans, and skirts. You'll also need a few shirts. You can always add in a couple of trendy prints and colors that will give you a fresh look. Occasional, you may need a little emotional boost, so go ahead and splurge on some, which may not be practical to round out your maternity wardrobe. Remember, many of today's fashions are worn even after your baby is born.

If you cannot afford to purchase a completely new wardrobe, or if just don't feel like spending that much money, then you need to get at least a couple of basics and defiantly one outfit, which makes you feel sexy and beautiful.

Don't neglect your underwear. Today, designers have created maternity thongs, bikinis, and briefs. If your underwear is uncomfortable, then you'll be uncomfortable during your entire pregnancy. Today's maternity underwear is made out of soft comfortable and stretchy fabric.

For your maternity bras, chances are you'll require several different sizes in order to make it through your pregnancy. However, the most important issue with your bras is the fit. Make sure there is room for expansion around your rib cage as well as room for expansion in the cup, but not too much so that it doesn't provide the required support. Maternity bras come in a verity of sexy styles including different colors of lace.

Remember, when you feel beautiful, you look beautiful and yes---sexy.

I always felt so fantastic once I reached six months. Both times I really glowed during my second trimester. This article reminds me of that.

Thumbs up Re: Feeling And Looking Sexy With Maternity Clothes

Good article... I didn't know they even made maternity thongs and bikinis. The thongs would help with the expanding behind, at least mine did, and the bunching of the underwear.

I personally didn't feel any more or any less sexy when I was pregnant, however I know of quite a few women who have never felt sexier than during their pregnancy. I say more power to them!

Feeling sexy and dressy sexy are too different things I think. I felt sexy during my first pregnancy, but wasn't about to wear a string bikini or a miniskirt or something like that.

For me I just didn't feel that cute. Friends and family would tell me how beautiful and glowing I looked, but I didn't think so. It doesn't help that my hubby isn't as attracted to me when I was pregnant either.

I totally agree Melos,
Feeling sexy comes from within!
I hope you don't mind me posting on this thread but after reading it i just thought some of you may be interested in hearing about the ‘mum to be’ range at Waterfall Spa in Leeds, as a good pampering session is bound to make you feel sexy again ; )

Waterfall is the first Spa in the UK to pro actively develop a full range of treatments that are safe and designed specifically for Mums-to-be, using only oils and products that are 100% safe for you and baby.

Treatments range from manicures, pedicures and facials (helping you feel sexy during your pregnancy!)to leg and foot massage and the ‘100 pillows massage’, a relaxing massage that takes place on a comfy circular bed in the relaxation area, allowing you to gently drift off to sleep.

Good luck to all you mums to be and thank you for reading this.

Holly x
