New Book for Families with Pre-Teens: Combating The Emo Subculture with a Good Story
http://www.prweb.com/releases/2006/5/prweb390381.htm

Pre-teens face a new risk from the emo culture: repeating negative stories that result in self-injury and depression. Parents and caring adults can reverse that trend by reading a new book that is a hope-filled story with uplifting role models that invite kids to display positive behaviors. (PRWEB May 26, 2006)

Unhappy Re: New Book for Families with Pre-Teens: Combating The Emo Subculture with a Good St

What is an emo kid anyway? I've been told it's kinda like a preppy gothic punk of some sort. I've listened to the emo music, but I don't find anything depressing about it. Do you think this is just some sort of phase kids are going through these days or is this a new group classification for high school, ie the old ones like jock, preppy, nerds/geeks, etc???
