Default Do you use a front carrier?

Does anyone else here use a front carrier like a Baby Bjorn for their infant? Whenever I put my baby in it I feel panicky and like she can't breathe. Her head seems to sit right in between my breasts. She always falls right asleep while she's in it, and she's never in it for long, but I can't help but worry. Am I being silly?

Well I think when you have a new baby, you worry about everything. How old is your baby and are they still facing you in it? I put my daughter in it every now and then when she was littler and she was just fine. I'm sure everything will be fine with it.

I use a snugli for my son every so often and he's almost five months. Though he's pretty much at the turn around and face forward stage, I used it quite a bit when he was smaller. My mother in law says she carried my husband around constantly in a front carrier. It let her get a lot more stuff around the house done (and she's a fanatic about keeping the house clean), and my husband turned out just fine. I would just try to make sure her head is turned to the side when she's sleeping so she can breathe easy.

I used a sling for my two kids - it was more comfortable for both of us I think and really easy to use. You can adjust it so easily. I've never used a carrier designed specifically for baby - how do you deal with your breasts?

Well I'm quite top heavy now but the carrier fits around me alright. I just find that when my infant is in it her face seems to end up smushed right between my cleavage. I think I'll feel a lot better when she's able to face forward!
