Cancer treatment and infertility
Cancer Treatments can result in infertility. For a Women the reasons can be the cancer itself, or the treatment like surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, hormonal therapy. The age also becomes a deciding factor in many cases. The only way for them to get pregnant is the means of assisted reproductive or freezing embryos technologies. Chemotherapy involves the use of drugs to destroy cancer cells. These drugs interfere with the growth and division of normal cells as well as cancer cells. Radiation and certain surgical procedures may also cause infertility.
